The Morning Glory Project

As an author so prolific that she requires several nom de plums, Eileen Rendahl is well established as a storyteller. Her books run the gamut from romantic suspense to cozy mystery, and from what was once called “chick lit” to psychological mysteries. But it was in one of her earliest books that Eileen tackled issues of a most personal nature.

In Do Me, Do My Roots she tells the fictional story of a young mom with two small children suddenly faced with widowhood. While the story is fictionalized, it was born out of this author’s real-life experience of losing her young husband to a brain tumor and raising her young sons on her own. With humor and heart, she tells the story of grief, family, and enduring beyond loss. In this episode of The Morning Glory Project, Eileen Rendahl shares how writing this fictionalized version of her story, along with the support and laughter of her family got her through the toughest moments.
