Michael Lazarin never set out to be an advocate and activist. But when he became an “erased” alienated father of his beloved daughter, Audrie Pott, when she was seven years old, he had no choice but to fight for his child, and later in her memory. Later, after years of alienation from her father and his loving extended family, Audrie, took her own life at age fifteen. In a spiral of grief and inspired to honor his daughter’s memory, Michael took on Audrie’s mother, the twisted family court system, and now fights tirelessly to change laws and to spare others the deep suffering of family alienation. How has he found joy and happiness alongside this fight? That’s the story he shares with us.
